بيان إدانة واستنكار
نحن، مجموعة من النشطاء في مجال حقوق الإنسان في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، نتابع ببالغ القلق والاستنكار ما تعرّض له الدكتور ماجد الخزان، الطبيب اليمني وجراح العظام المعروف، من اعتقال تعسفي خلال اليومين الماضيين، تمّ تنفيذه من قبل مجموعة متنفذة دون أي مسوّغ قانوني أو أمر قضائي.
إن الدكتور ماجد الخزان يُعد من الكفاءات الطبية المشهود لها بالكفاءة والنزاهة، وله إسهامات بارزة في خدمة الوطن والمواطن، كما عُرف بدوره الفاعل في محاربة الفساد والمفسدين، لا سيما في القطاع الصحي، ووقوفه ضد ممارسات فاسدة تورّط فيها بعض شاغلي المناصب الحساسة في هذا القطاع الحيوي.
إن هذا الاعتقال التعسفي يُعد انتهاكًا صارخًا للدستور والقوانين النافذة، ويشكّل اعتداءً واضحًا على الحقوق والحريات الأساسية، وفي مقدمتها الحق في الحرية والأمان الشخصي، وحرية الرأي والتعبير، كما يعكس توجّهًا خطيرًا لاستهداف الأصوات المهنية والوطنية التي تسعى للإصلاح ومحاربة الفساد.
وعليه، فإننا:
إن استهداف الكفاءات الوطنية والأصوات الحرة لن يخدم العدالة ولا الاستقرار، بل يفاقم معاناة المجتمع ويقوّض أسس دولة القانون والمؤسسات.

Statement of Condemnation and Denunciation
We, a group of human rights activists based in the United States of America, express our deep concern and strong condemnation regarding the arbitrary detention of Dr. Majid Al-Khazan, the renowned Yemeni physician and orthopedic surgeon, which occurred over the past two days. This detention was carried out by a powerful group without any legal justification or judicial order.
Dr. Majid Al-Khazan is widely recognized for his professional competence and integrity. He has made significant contributions to serving his country and its citizens, and has played a prominent role in combating corruption, particularly within the healthcare sector. He has consistently stood against corrupt practices involving some holders of sensitive positions in this vital sector.
This arbitrary detention constitutes a flagrant violation of the constitution and applicable laws and represents a clear assault on fundamental rights and freedoms, foremost among them the right to personal liberty and security, and the freedom of opinion and expression. Moreover, it reflects a dangerous trend of targeting professional and patriotic voices committed to reform and anti-corruption efforts.
Accordingly, we:
Targeting national competencies and independent voices serves neither justice nor stability; rather, it exacerbates societal suffering and undermines the foundations of a lawful and institutionalized state.
